Information used by the app
The app uses the installed shop’s domain, name, currency and timezone; product and variant identifiers, titles, vendors, SKUs and current prices; and the sale rules and eligibility sources entered by the merchant. Shopify authentication sessions may include the installing staff member’s Shopify identifier, name and email, access tokens and token expiry information.
The app stores authentication sessions and merchant sale drafts in its database. Item approvals and checkout configuration are stored in Shopify app-owned metafields. A separate app installation metafield contains only the campaign information needed to display the cart selector.
Customer choices and checkout
The cart selector saves the customer’s offer preference as a Shopify cart attribute. It does not create a separate customer profile or send the cart to an external payment service. Shopify’s discount Function evaluates cart merchandise, the selected delivery option, and destination country, state and ZIP inside Shopify. The app’s server does not retain customers’ delivery addresses, order histories, payment details or financing applications.
Purpose and service providers
Information is used to authenticate the merchant, save sale drafts, verify item eligibility and apply the chosen benefit through Shopify. Shopify provides store authentication, metafield storage, cart and checkout processing. App hosting also processes the merchant app’s requests and stored sessions. The app does not sell customer data, run advertising pixels or send marketing messages.
Removal and data requests
The authenticated Shopify app uninstall and shop-redaction webhooks delete the app’s saved sessions and drafts from its active database. Restricted operational backups, when enabled, are rotated on a 30-day retention schedule. Shopify manages the store’s own records and app-owned data. Customer data-request and redaction webhooks are authenticated; the app has no separately stored shopper records to return or remove.
