Setup and support
Boomtown Offers lets customers choose percentage savings or qualifying free native local delivery. Shopify checkout evaluates the saved choice and final eligibility. This app has no merchant subscription or usage charge.
- Open the installed app from Apps in Shopify admin. Save a sale draft with dates, rates, delivery minimum, ZIP, state and clearance policy. This version supports USD stores and one qualifying US destination ZIP per campaign.
- Use Item approvals to locate an exact SKU. Confirm its current price, classification, exclusions and authoritative source. The app does not change catalog prices or inventory.
- In Checkout setup, prepare the paused checkout rule. Follow the theme-editor link to add Offer choice on the cart page and position it before checkout. No theme code edit is required.
- Check all three choices in Shopify checkout, the eligible local delivery option, a changed destination address, an ineligible cart and campaign expiry. Select Local delivery for the delivery benefit. Accelerated checkout can bypass the cart; customers should visit the cart and save their choice first.
- After the merchant approves the sale terms and exact item eligibility, activate the managed rule. Only an enabled campaign within its dates displays the cart selector to shoppers. Changes to a draft do not overwrite an active campaign.
Pause or revise a campaign
Use Pause checkout offer to disable the managed discount. Change the draft, review eligibility and checkout again, and activate the revised campaign. Sync storefront selector uses the actual published checkout rules, preserving unsaved and draft changes.
Common questions
If the block is missing, check its placement in the cart template, the published campaign dates and whether the discount is active. While paused, the block is available as a theme-editor preview only. If saving a choice fails, reload the cart before checkout.
The free-delivery benefit applies only to a qualifying paid Shopify Local delivery option. It does not create a delivery service or change its radius prices. Pickup, standard shipping, protection plans and excluded merchandise cannot create delivery eligibility. Split delivery groups and unknown physical merchandise do not qualify in this version.
Percentage savings and free delivery do not combine with each other or other product, order or shipping discounts. Other Shopify discounts can affect which discount Shopify selects; merchants should review competing active discounts when checking a campaign.
